Israel Nash took to the KEXP studios before his recent show at the Sunset Tavern in Seattle. Comparisons are typically lazy, but he’s been in the same sentences as Neil Young and Pink Floyd which are both fitting.
It took some time for Nash to make a name here in the States, but he has experienced European success for some time. At the show, he attributed his newly found stateside momentum to KEXP, who was the first station to play his new album, Rain Plans, and finally showed he and his band some deserved love. Israel Nash’s Rain Plans were one of Old Rookie‘s Top 30 albums of 2014.
