Comparisons are typically are not the best way to describe someone, but Snoh Aalegra is a bit of an anomaly. Not often can an artist be reminiscent of both Amy Winehouse and Eva Mendes at the same time. It may not seem fair, but if she didn’t have such a cool voice, Snoh probably could’ve ended up on the runway modeling designer brands a few echelons above oldrookie.com, but this is the path she chose, so here she lands.
Snoh’s first EP, There Will Be Sunshine, leaned towards the trippy rnb/hip hop category, collaborating and playing with Vince Staples, Common, and James Fauntleroy of Cocaine80s.
The 28 year old Persian singer from Stockholm, Sweden has been living in Los Angeles and in the studio working on an album with No ID, who works closely with Kanye West, especially during the soulful College Dropout and Late Registration years.
Her single, Emotional produced by RZA, is a soulful pop production giving her a very modern RnB vibe perfect for the summer
