You just learn to trust certain record labels, so when Stones Throw Records releases a psychedelic rock and soul record by a new group called Mild High Club, you give it a shot.
Timeline, is a mostly slow, smooth, weird and drugged out soul/rock record with jangly guitar rhythms over top. Mild High Club is the brainchild of Alexander Brettin, who has worked with Ariel Pink and who seems to has an affinity for artpop. Certainly seems like the weirder the better.
