By Ian Bremner
Don’t call it a Trilogy. Ok, maybe you can. All we know is Damien Jurado just dropped another spacey, conceptual gem from his upcoming album, Visions Of Us On The Land.
Though Jurado’s growing catalogue is expansive, this album will follow up his previous Maraqopa and Brothers And Sisters Of The Eternal Sun, produced by Richard Swift. Since Jurado and Swift got together making records, his sound has taken a turn into the worldly psychadelia direction. Jurado is masterful songwriter, and in these 3 albums he has created a fictitious dream world named Maraqopa, in which all of the songs take place.
