Not sure how Joseph Washington Jr.’s Merry Christmas To You slipped through the cracks when it was released back in 1983, but the folks at record labels like Numero Group make sure records like these get their proper shine.

Merry Christmas To You is a short 26-minute, buttery, winter classic collection of original holiday tunes. It sounds like a cup of hot chocolate, if a cup of hot chocolate were to make a sound. Though some of the tracks are filled with the proverbial tales of mistletoe and Rudolph, Washington puts his own sexy-smooth spin on them and makes Christmas music very enjoyable, even for those holiday-themed cynics out there.
