It’s hard to find a songwriter more highly regarded than Gillian Welch. A lifelong southerner, she can paint full stories into beautiful and painstaking 3 minute songs. In 2016, she released her first collection of unreleased songs, Boots No. 1: The Official Revival Bootleg. This year, despite it’s mess, she has revived this revival series with a bundle of 3 records, Boots No. 2. Volumes 1, 2 and 3 are out now and provide a true treasure chest of songs to dive into for new fans or Welch diehards.
