T. Hardy Morris is the front man for Dead Confederate based in Athens Georgia. Dead Confederate specializes in grungy southern rock but T Hardy Morris’ solo work has more of a country tinge. He may also sound familiar from another band, Diamond Rugs, which features Deer Tick’s John McCauley and Robbie Crowell, (possibly formerly) Black Lips’ Ian St Pe, Los Lobos’ Steve Berlin. His first solo album Audition Tapes is fairly mellow country-ish tunes. These two new songs are a little more rockin’ but with that same southern touch. Released on Dangerbird Records.
