Black Joe Lewis came rollicking into Seattle with TWO sold out shows at Ballard’s Tractor Tavern. He came with the energy of his excellent brand new record in tow, The Difference Between Me And You.
Lewis and his band, The Honeybears, are the perfect rock n roll vibes for a night out on the town. They have the volume and screaming of a punk rock show. The riffs of the blues and the bounce of a soul group. Seattle has the reputation as a chill town perhaps unwilling to totally let loose. Black Joe Lewis had the entire crowd moving throughout the entire show. Folks left the Tractor Tavern just as pumped up as they entered.
Chicago DIY man Paul Cherry opened the show. His record Flavour dropped earlier this year and is definitely worth (multiple) listens.
