Rockstone, the 2nd record from Jr. Thomas & The Volcanoes is the latest gem from Colemine Records. The label known for Durand Jones & The Indications, Orgone, Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio and more of the real deal soul tunes goes reggae for the moment. The album is love letter to Jamaican music by bandleader Tom McDowell.

McDowell, born in Minnesota now lives in California. The band, The Volcanos have steadily built a collective with lots of classic reggae history. Rockstone mixes dub and soul to create a very smooth  fusion of Jamaica and Los Angeles.
