Sunflower Bean graced Seattle with another visit this past weekend as they filled the opening spot for Interpol’s sold out show at the Moore Theatre. While Interpol was clearly the focus of the evening, there was certainly a great deal of attention and anticipation for the young New York Trio, Sunflower Bean.

The opening slot at the Moore was a well-earned step up from their last Seattle show at the Crocodile. The band released a new four-track EP recently, titled King of the Dudes. It serves up the raw and raspy side of vocalist/bassist Julia Cumming, not unlike the sound you hear from the front-woman during Sunflower Bean’s live performances.
