NPR Tiny Desk Concerts are exactly what they sound like. Usually 4 song sets performed in the NPR studio in Washington, DC at a Tiny Desk. Similar to other radio stations’ live performances, somehow these shows seem even more intimate. Perhaps because you can hear the small crowd clapping or bantering along with the artist. After hearing Sturgill Simpson had visited NPR awhile back, this session has been highly anticipated.

The Tiny Desk shows do a great job of mixing up genres, up-and-comers and mainstays. Some other favorites include, Sharon Van Etten, Damien Jurado, Shovels & Rope, Bill Callahan, Adele, Angel Olsen, Phosphorescent and frankly, too many more to keep adding links and commas, but there all here.
