In the crowded world of R&B, it takes a different kind of artist to garner the kind of buzz and anticipation that Gallant has received.
With the help of producer Felix Snow, Gallant released his Zebra EP back in May 2014 . The five track EP features airy soulful harmonies over electric guitar riffs and distorted synth beats.
For fans of the Weeknd, Gallants mysterious nature will seem familiar. He rarely shows you his face and often hides behind his artistry, releasing black and white song artwork with faces blurred.
Taking most of his lyrics from old journal entries, Gallant cautiously lets you into his moody soundscape, as he emotionally sings in falsetto, with seemingly little effort.
His latest track, Open Up, is no exception and only adds to the anticipation of a full length album from the L.A. based artist, which is expected sometime this summer.
