Tacocat claiming, “I Hate The Weekend,” may not be a popular sentiment across the board, but for the folks who don’t necessarily have Friday and Saturday nights off to get blitzed, it’s certainly relatable.
The song and video alike, try to explain that just because the working stiffs have to let loose from a boring week in the office, doesn’t mean you should “flood the streets be fucking slobs.”
I Hate The Weekend and Talk are the the first singles off Lost Time, the new album from Tacocat out on Hardly Art on April 1. Both are fun, party punk songs, which the Seattle band has come to be known for.
Though most of Tacocat’s songs have messages within them, the band never acts too serious or above their own morals. They certainly know how to have their share of fun.
Tacocat will be playing shows and touring all over this spring. Also, between the overall artwork and a band bio like this, who can resist?
