Northwesterners’ reputations will say deem themselves “outdoorsy” but with the incline and questionable terrain throughout the city of Seattle, a few inches of snow can shut shit down. A storm billed as “snowpocolypse” may not have lived up to it’s name, but it did wreck havoc among travelers and commuters.
Shows throughout Seattle’s venues were poised to cancel, and some did, but not all. Times like these are when you truly come to appreciate artists on the road, playing music for whoever they can. Ron Gallo and Post Animal have been on tour for a couple weeks and having to brave the winter conditions all over the country. The artists made it to the city, so they shall play. An intimate gathering at Capitol Hill’s Chop Suey made for a communal night of rock n roll. While it was mellow and freezing outside, it was warm and loud inside.
